Set the data volume (in red) to the amount of data you plan to move. The calculations will be made for each transmission media.
* Note - Most networks theoretically have 100% bandwidth available for data transfer, but reality shows few support higher than 75% of the specified volume of traffic. The loss is due to packet loss and retransmission, collisions and other overhead. The percentage above (in green) can be modified to show the impact of network degradation. Recommended initial setting - 75%
Backup Time calculations take into consideration any transmission media slower than the transfer rate of the backup device. IE if the network connection does not support 5MB per second, backups will be limited by the speed of that network. Also, if a network is faster than 5MB per second, the backup device will be the limiting factor.
